VIP MOTORSPORTS SIGNS SAMMY VALAFAR FOR PRESTIGIOUS 25 HOURS OF THUNDERHILL
LAS VEGAS, CA - November 6, 2006
VIP Motorsports announced today that 25 year old Sammy Valafar has signed on to drive the #77 Visionary Investment Portfolio Group/SAS Racing/Koerner Engineering 1995 Mazda Miata at the 2006 NASA 25 Hours of Thunderhill.
Valafar, who is sponsored by EBargain Motors, was the third place qualifier and a top ten finisher in the inaugural 2006 SCCA Runoffs in Spec Miata. Sammy simultaneously competes in both the Champ Car Rotax Challenge as well as National Level sports car racing throughout the season. As if his season was not busy enough he has decided to compete in what is considered the most extreme and severe endurance race on the planet leaving him virtually no off season to prepare for next year. Being no stranger to endurance racing he looks forward to the challenge.
VIP Motorsport's complete driver line-up has not been set as of yet but several very talented candidates are currently being considered to share driving duties with Sammy.
This will be VIP Motorsports first trip to the grueling 25 Hours of Thunderhill, which is held annually at Thunderhill Raceway Park circuit in Willows, California in early December. VIP Motorsports looks forward to a very successful run and finishing position in the extremely competitive E2 class as well as overall. Approximately 60 teams will be entered in this year's race.
